Portugal achieves 7 million for R&D in new technologies with the Pathfinder program of the European Innovation Council

The European funding instrument EIC Pathfinder Open (formerly known as FET-Open) supports the development of R&D projects (3 to 4 Million Euros) focusing on innovative, disruptive and revolutionary technologies and scientific advances, in an early stage of maturity. It is highly competitive and aims to realize radical and ambitious ideas for new technologies and is open to candidates from any discipline.

The results of the EIC Pathfinder Open Call, which took place on May 25th, are being communicated. Of the 908 project proposals received, 56 projects were financed. Applicants are mainly from higher education bodies and research institutions but with a relatively high number from the private sector (29% of participants, 67% of which are SMEs)…
