TWO PROJECTS COORDINATED BY PORTUGUESE INSTITUTIONS ARE AMONG THE WINNERS OF THE EUROPEAN INNOVATION COUNCIL PATHFINDER PROGRAMME
The results of the EIC Pathfinder Open 2022 call, which closed in May, have been disclosed and two projects coordinated by Portuguese institutions are among the winners. This is a European funding instrument that supports R&D projects to develop advanced, innovative and disruptive scientific technologies and solutions.
Of the 858 proposals received, 57 projects were funded, 8 of which had the participation of Portuguese institutions. The applicants are mainly from higher education and research institutions and also involve around 25% of innovative companies.
Of the 8 projects approved for Portugal, 2 are coordinated by national institutions, which are:
- 3DSecret, in the area of detection of stochastic patterns in metastases through 3D cell spheroids, led by INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory….
